8 Ellabell, GA Ellabell, GA Temporary Full-time Temporary Full-time $22 an hour $22 an hour 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago POSITION SUMMARY The Administrative Assistant is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including multiple tasks related to recruiting and onboarding, as well as providing day-to-day support of the distribution center operations.
This position works closely with managers, employees, and support functions at the local and corporate levels, and requires a high degree of confidentiality and the ability to recognize and escalate issues when appropriate.
SHIFT:
Monday through Friday 8am to 4:
30pm ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Promotes a positive environment by greeting building visitors, vendors, applicants, and new hires Supports the new hire orientation process, including the completion of new hire paperwork and other onboarding activities (e.
g.
facilitating presentations, building tours, and training throughout orientation) Manages data in our keycard building entry system, distributes, and tracks all employee key FOBs and name tags Supports employees to enter information in EVA, creating employees' electronic file, and uploading employment documents such as W-4's, bank accounts, and contact information Maintains and delivers accurate company records for employees by generating and distributing weekly employment reports for full-time and temporary employees to building leadership Assists in the delivery of consistent and effective communication to employees and managers throughout the location Manages and updates information on communication boards and slideshow presentations throughout the facility with content relevant to internal job postings, policy updates, leadership contacts, and various other employee engagement announcements Aids external applicants by answering questions related to employment, interviewing, and the pre-employment process Assists in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities throughout the year, including but not limited to monthly/quarterly meals, monthly engagement activities and holiday celebrations Fulfills administrative requests and queries from all managers, copies, printing, laminating, creating informational fliers and certificates Updates and edits the employee engagement calendar and budget Collects and distributes mail Reconciles building expense spend against budget Other tasks and duties as assigned by leadership EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 8-10 hours/day Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs.
and push / pull up to 150lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
