As the Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below:
Essential Functions:
Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
Assist the Marketing team in the design, creation and production of marketing programs to support the development and growth of the business.
Plans and organizes promotional presentations; updates calendars.
Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
Works with other team members to plan meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Take steps to measure, enhance, and enrich the position and image of Daniel Defense through various goals and objectives.
Develop and execute marketing programs to promote the Daniel Defense's brand.
Attend trade shows.
Enforce brand marketing guidelines in trademarks, logos, and publications.
Ensure brand communication for areas of responsibility are consistent with Daniel Defense and brand positioning.
Works under immediate supervision.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Participates in the company's efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by the Vice President of Marketing and/or management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's or Associates Degree with concentration in Marketing or a related area; 1
years of marketing experience or related experience and/or training to include Event Planning, Logistics or Retail Sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field.
Teamwork and the ability to cooperate and work proactively with others is a must.
Extensive leadership, management and planning skills.
Great attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills.
Excellent social skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Self-motivated; willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under deadlines and pressure.
Ability to work, interact and effectively communicate with all company officials, employees, vendors, customers, etc.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
Competent with computer software such as Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook Word).
Demonstrated ability to recognize and work with our Permission to Play Values.
Travel requirements:
Minimal Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
